Dear Parents,
It is a great honor to be welcoming you and your loved ones back to another year of educational adventures and opportunities within the Reedsville Public School System. This is a special place to learn because of our educators, our families, our community, and of course, our scholars.
There are varied ways to judge the success of a school system, and I sincerely believe that the Reedsville School District excels in both formal and informal methods of comparison. Some prefer to look at test scores. The scholars of the Reedsville School District test at a level in state standardized tests which significantly exceeds local, regional, and state averages. Others prefer to look at curricular and extracurricular offerings. The students of Reedsville School District have the opportunity to take classes and be involved in extra-curricular events that fully prepare them for our nation's and state's most respected universities and technical schools, to enter the workforce if they choose, or to proceed with any other path they will choose for their young lives. I prefer to judge a district by the relationship and rapport which exists between the educational staff and the young people they serve. I have the benefit of witnessing the exceptional relationships which exist between and among the people who work and learn in our schools on a daily basis. I invite each of you to visit our schools and witness for yourself what makes the Reedsville School District a special place to learn. As a long time educator that has served districts throughout the state, I am genuinely impressed and believe you will be as well.
I also encourage you to spread the good news about our schools to your friends, neighbors, and community members. By every measure, the Reedsville School District is an exceptional place to learn. This is something to be proud of and even to boast about on occasion.
Have a great year and thank you for your support of our schools, our staff, and your scholars.
