Foremost Media Scholarship

The Mike & Stephanie Taddy Trade Scholarship is for a current RHS senior who is planning on entering the workforce or technical college in the trade fields. There will be 2 scholarships awarded which will consist of tools that can be used in that field. One package will go towards a student entering the field of construction, carpentry, electrician, plumbing or hvac. A second scholarship will be awarded to a student entering the workforce or technical college in the trade fields of mechanical including auto, diesel, heavy equipment or small engine. Proof of acceptance of college admittance or employment is required.

• A child of a parent who sustained a work-related serious injury or fatality, covered by the worker’s compensation laws of Wisconsin. Parent’s injury or death must have been a compensable or compromised claim.
• The parent’s injury or death had a financial impact on the family.
• Students should be between ages of 17 to 24.
• Preference given to students who are Wisconsin residents at time of application.
• Preference given to students entering Wisconsin schools.
• Must have a high school diploma, GED/HSED, or a high school student in good standing (who will graduate in academic year)

• Range generally from $500 to $5,000, in an annual amount (not per semester).

Lakeshore Community Foundation Scholarship Application

Preference is given to students planning to pursue a degree in Veterinary Medicine or who plans to attend a college/university and has demonstrated financial need.

$2500 (one award available for a RHS senior)

All applicants must graduate from a Wisconsin public or private high school in 2025 and plan to attend a Wisconsin public or private college or university in 2025. Essays will be judged independently on originality and subject matter in relation to the topic. The essays must also contain correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Judging will be completed by August 8, 2025. Recipients will be announced by August 22, 2025. Proof of enrollment in a Wisconsin public or private college is required to receive a scholarship. Two (2) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to the students with the highest-ranking essay score from a town or village insured by Rural Mutual Insurance Company as of May 1, 2024. 
Five (5) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to the top five additional students with the highestranking essay scores.

Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted.
